Happy Holidays!
I am SO spoiled! Being in a great apartment, a great area, great husband, dog and friends and family. There are, however, those who arnt so lucky and wont be spending the holiday season with the people they love. Our military (whatever the side of the fence you are about the current situation) are overseas without the comforts of home. I just cannot imagine what it is like to be in a foreign country on Christmas night without loved ones by your side. It just makes me feel so bless to be around amazing things that only GOD alone has provided for me. Let's also mention the families that cannot afford even a decent meal, let alone a decent Christmas for their children. How excited were you as a child to wake up on Christmas day and find that Santa had all those amazing presents waiting for you? Well...some kids wake up with the same excitement, yet quickly become overwhelmed by the reality that Santa never came, or will ever come. I just ask that we all help out just ONE person during the holidays. Pay it forward! A present might be worth a lot, but a smile on someone's face is PRICELESS! Merry Christmas everyone!

If I die young....
"If I die young, bury me in satin
Lay me down on a, bed of roses
Sink me in the river, at dawn
Send me away with the words of a love song
Lord make me a rainbow, I'll shine down on my mother
She'll know I'm safe with you when she stands under my colors, oh and
Life ain't always what you think it ought to be, no
Ain't even grey, but she buries her baby
The sharp knife of a short life, well
I've had, just enough time"
Two weeks ago, I went to a funeral for one of my old co-workers. Since then...this song has been haunting me on the radio. I have been thinking since then how short life is; and I can speak for us all when I say that most people tend to take that for granted. God blesses us a life on earth for a reason...whether you live until age 5 or age 95; we cant take for granted what He gave to us. Although we do not want to see our loved ones die young, there is a reason for it. I have ultimately come to the conclusion that if I die young, I would LOVE to say "I have had just enough time". Meaning, I really hope my short life on earth was well worth it to someone. I hope that I can say that my life's accomplishments were measured by how many people I have touched, not by personal vanities. Although this is a grim message, I hope that in the end it can be seen in a positive light. Because in the end, life isnt about how many breaths you take but the moments that take your breath away.
Live life to the fullest bloggers...I pray that I do! :)

Let's see...
Tonight we will see if Prop 19 will pass. For all you non-Californians... this one is huge. To legalize pot or not. That is the question! Thoughts, prayers, opinions?? Oh, and we are voting on a new governer too. :) No more governator. He will be missed...but the question at hand...Lets see if Prop 19 will go over. I will keep updates on this soon :)
